32.5 hours per week

We are currently seeking to appoint 8 people to join our Reablement team!  

Middlesbrough Council will pay for DBS checks and uniforms are provided. You will also be issued with a mobile phone and laptop to support you with your visits.

Reablement is working with people in their own homes, and promoting independence, while helping only when the person needs it. Reablement is provided to people by Middlesbrough Council, for a short amount of time.

The aim is to keep people at home, as independent as possible. The hardest part of learning to be a Reablement Officer is ‘doing with’ rather than ‘doing for’. For example, it is much harder to support someone to make a cup of tea for themselves rather than making it for them.

We have worked with people from the age of 18, and to date the oldest customer we have worked with is 101. We work with people for all walks of life, with no judgement.
