The role
The Public Protection Service is passionate about improving the lives and living standards of residents, protecting the environment, protecting consumer interests, and supporting a strong local economy.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive individual with a keen interest in consumer protection, product safety and fair-trading laws to join our Trading Standards team as a Regulatory Compliance Officer and to train to become a fully qualified Trading Standards Officer.
The role will have a particular focus on tobacco control legislation and the sale of illicit tobacco and vapes and candidates will need to have a willingness to learn and develop a broad set of skills working with businesses and in the enforcement of consumer protection laws.
The post offers a great opportunity to develop a career in Trading Standards with fully funded training supported by Trading Standards professionals.
