About Us

We have an exciting role on offer within our Children’s Services directorate as a Talent and Recruitment Lead About Us Middlesbrough Council Children’s Services ambition is to increase its permanent workforce in the areas that are the difficult to recruit to. 

The Children’s Services Transformation Programme has responded to the challenge in attracting and retaining Children’s Social Care workers and has created a role that to enhance and specialise in attraction, recruitment and retention activity.

The successful candidate will work alongside the existing recruitment function and focus on attracting, retaining and on boarding the best Children’s Social Care talent in the field. To be successful in this role you need a good understanding of Children’s Social Care, and the recruitment pressures it faces.

You will also require a degree level or equivalent qualification. More requirements are detailed in the Job Description and Personal Specification.

You will have a responsibility for the following:

Delivering on a Workforce Development Strategy that includes attracting potential candidates through innovative and effective activities.
Building effective relationships with the existing workforce including agency staff.
Collecting key workforce data to help understand key trends and performance.
