We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention, Provider and Support Services as a Care Assistant.

Due to the expansion of our service and what we offer, an exciting opportunity has arisen within 22 Levick Court, which provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities during their short stay breaks. We are looking for care assistants to support our existing team in providing individualised care and support to the people who access our service.

Levick Court offers short stay breaks for adults with learning disabilities and is a 24 hour service. The building is purpose built, which ensures that we can meet the needs of a wide range of individuals who access our service. We have spacious communal areas including multi-purpose activity rooms, sensory room, media room and secure gardens available to those accessing our services. We have domestic and catering staff on site; however, this role does involve some additional housekeeping duties. We are looking for caring, fun, creative individuals, who can work collaboratively with our team to ensure that the people that use our service enjoy their stays.

This role will appeal to you if you have a passion for helping others, you like being involved in activities with the people that you support and want a role with flexible working hours.

Key duties of the Care Assistant post will include:

• To follow individualised plans of care

• To support service users in their chosen activities

• Be committed to a customer led service

• To work as directed by senior staff

You will have good communication skills which will assist in keeping people engaged during their stay. If successful, you will be joining a friendly supportive team that is passionate about delivering excellent care services to all. It is desirable, though not essential, that applicants have experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities.

Please note that this 20 hour post consists of shorter shifts to support the peak times within the service, and would suit people who do not desire long shifts.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Please note, this vacancy is 20 hours per week.

If this is you, this may be the opportunity you are looking for!
