We have an exciting role on offer within our Public Health Services as a Making Research Happen Manager.

Are you a looking for a totally new and unique opportunity?

The Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) South Tees is one of 30 funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research. HDRC South Tees is a partnership between Middlesbrough Council, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council and Teesside University. The goal is to embed research in the foundations and culture in the two councils.

The responsibilities include working with the wider HDRC team on a range of projects, delivering high quality management support to the lead and being involved in all HDRC programmes of work.

The successful candidate will work with, and provide guidance to, four Research Coordinators. The nature of the role requires leadership and partnership building skills, including successful networking and negotiation (along with the other skills described in the job description and person specification).

Given the novelty and uniqueness of the roles, we are excited to welcome applicants from a diverse field and backgrounds – to complement the varied blend of skills and experiences of the current HDRC team.

Please note, this is a fixed term contract until 30th September 2028.
